Representing Japan in the popular girl with a guitar category, folk-rocker and bokukko Saori Atsumi penned my favorite J-Pop love song, Mou Sukoshi (”A Little More”). A delicate, sweet but strangely haunting melody, the lyrics tread that delicate balance between teenaged crush and deepening adult relationship. More »

Let’s face it, everyone needs some love in their life. While the Beatles claim all you need is love, I won’t go as far as to agree but I will say it’s a pretty big deal. With that in mind, I’ve mustered up my inner matchmaker and have compiled a list of japanese icons that would make for some fetching couples. More »

Dating: The infamous “D” word that has a tendency to eat away at the best of us.
Sure, sometimes love can be a little tough, but as soon as your significant other starts talking about shipping out to stop an alien invasion, or talking about rescuing the princess you can be sure of two things: You’re either dating someone delusional, or a video game character. Here a 5 tell tale signs to look for. More »
As a huge fan of Jpop, I’ve definitely heard my share of songs from the land of the rising sun. Even if you can’t understand most of what the singer is saying, the emotion in their voices can still shine through. Let’s talk about love, for instance. More »

This involved latching onto a pair in our favorite anime who exhibited unresolved romantic tension (if even that) and posting endlessly on message boards, for example, “TaiXSoraFTW!!!!” Sometimes we’d even create a portmanteau of their names, as in Taiora. Well, the fact remains that some of those were pretty fine couples, and here are my picks for the ones I most regret never became official. More »

From Ningin: When I first saw the manga titled “Kampfer,” I was expecting something as badass as this (it’s the mobile suit Kampfer from Gundam: War in a Pocket). Obviously, I was disappointed. Until I read the summary for it. Some normal high school boy wakes up as a magical girl. What can go wrong? More »
