The infamous Japanese blogging website, Ameba (also known as “Amebo” or “Ameblog”) had a security breach recently. It seems some random hacker decided they would make the passwords of over 400 celebrity bloggers available to the public.
On January 1st, the image of a New Year’s gift envelope appeared on the front page of certain blogs. If you clicked on it, you’d be taken to a page with several blog passwords for the taking. The problem is being looked into, although I have no idea how this hacker managed to pull such a stunt.

Ha! Yeah I’d be interested to know how the hacker managed that too.
I’ve never understood the appeal of disrupting internet behavior. Oh well..
