Jeremy’s Akira Kurosawa Resolution of 2010

I’m not one to make new year’s resolutions. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I’ve made one. So when the new year’s resolution special reared its ugly little head on the Rekuru calendar, I was stumped.

Thankfully, after doing some inner soul searching, a quick weight check, and an inventory of my non-existent assets, it hit me - my new year’s resolution. With Rekuru’s Akira Kurosawa month-long special in full swing this month, I’ve decided my resolution for the year is to see every Kurosawa film in existence. While it’s not the deepest of resolutions out there, it’s a daunting one nonetheless with over 30 films to track down and watch. So far, I’m off to a good start having seen Stray Dog just recently with a handful of some of his earlier films I need to watch sitting on my desk. 2010 may have just begun but my Kurosawa-tastic adventure is ON.
