Prepare yourself Japanese film enthusiasts and mark your calendars because on March 30th, distributor Well Go USA is unleashing some chainsaw swinging, wire-fu, CGI goodness.

Based on Tatsuhiko Takimoto’s best-selling novel, Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge is actually a light on drama, action packed, BLOODLESS (you heard it right, no Machine Girl gore here) film aimed at teens and tweens…so don’t go in expecting crazy horror and gore like the DVD cover would lead you to believe. Despite that, fans of impressive action scenes are encouraged to check out the film as, judging from the trailer, it should prove to be an enjoyable watch. Plus it has a chainsaw wielding ghost in it. I’ll repeat that to let it sink in. A CHAINSAW wielding ghost. Yeah, I’ll see you March 30th.

When I saw the movie I thought.. whats up with the chainsaw dude xD but I liked it, Hayato and Miura are great and the song… love it xD

I remember I was waiting forever for this movie to be subbed so I could see Miura Haruma. Then over time I forgot about it. I still haven’t seen it, but I plan to soon. Maybe I should wait for the US release?

Ah, I love the theme song Konjou Nashi.. probably because it’s sung by Miura Haruma. :)

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy!!!!! I love this movie. Not to mention Haruma Miura and Hayato Ichihara!
