There is a reason why Japanese people as a whole are obsessed with Mt. Fuji. It is a more or less perfectly shaped mountain, rising up with it’s white top for all to see. Even after living under Mt. Fuji for 6 months my eyes are still drawn to it frequently. Recently I came across some vintage Mt. Fuji photographs…
The interesting part about these photos is how little many of the places have changed. Sure, there are a few more hotels and boats on the lakes. But more or less you can venture to these places and still get the same amazing nature filled view of Fuji you could over 100 years ago.
