How Do You View Japan?

How does the West view Japan? Well according to a new Gallup poll the West views Japan quite favorably. Quite.

When asked about countries, Americans as a whole said that they liked Japan. 77% said they had a favorable view of Japan, compared to only 66% who liked India. Nice.

While this may seem impressive, the poll showed that as a whole Americans liked Germany, the UK, and Canada far more than they liked Japan. Which means Japan has some work to do.

I’d love to see the breakdown of this poll by age group. I’m guessing the younger crowd would have a much higher Japan favorability rate than the older demographic, who are probably still concerned that Japan will one day buy up all of Hawaii. (Not going to happen people!)
