Japan isn’t a very direct country. When talking to Japanese people it’s often difficult to get them to actually tell you how they feel on a subject. Especially if it’s important. The same can not be said for its signs. They’re very direct and to the point. To counter this “directness” on signs, we see a whole lot of cute. Cute and weird.
For example, the top sign says “Groping Forbidden.” Oh yes, forbidden. Very handy to know when on a train.
Or you could always just go with giant road cones. Because small isn’t something Japan is very good at.
Though my favorite has been this peeing fireman. Exactly what you’d want to see when waiting for a train.
