If you somehow have gone through your entire life without seeing the insanely crazy Japanese movie Battle Royal, then you should go out and watch the movie now. Drop what you’re doing, go find the movie, watch it. Go on. I’ll wait.

For everyone else I’d like to let you know that there happens to be a third movie coming out (yes, they did make a second). Will it provide us with large amounts of teenagers trying to kill each other? Only time will tell.

So now that you’ve watched the movie you can take a rest. You may want to skip the second movie in the series (it’s bad, but bad in a good bad sort of bad way which makes it kind of good) and instead check out this trailer for the third movie found here.

While it may not be as good as the original (what can be?), it may be worth a watch on some lonely Friday night.

The first Battle Royale movie is amazing — definitely worth a watch. :] I’ve had the second one on dvd forever, but still haven’t watched it yet (I hear it’s not very good). I haven’t actually read the manga yet either. I hear it’s quite violent (though, so is the movie, of course).

I’d recommend Trick. It’s a little slow at the start, but picks up around episode 4. There are three seasons and I think three movies. The plots are pretty clever too.

^ Oh, yeah you’re right. I didn’t even know they’re making a movie for it. I’ve only seen the first few episodes of the first season. I’m so behind. =\

I still haven’t seen Battle Royale yet either. I said I’d finish the manga first, then watch the movie, but I get lazy sometimes. I’ll get to it someday. :)

Hi, I’m not really sure this is related to the Battle Royale movies. From watching the video, it looks to be a trailer for the movie for Trick 3 (an amazing jdrama, btw), starring Nakama Yukie and Hiroshi Abe.

I think the movie’s subtitle just has ‘Battle Royale’ in the name, though I would love if there really is a sequel in the works. :]
