The Play Company, in association with the Japan Society of New York, is showing an English-translated version of “Enjoy,” Toshiki Okada’s play about workers in a manga café. The play has been running at the 59E59 Theaters in New York City since March 27, and will run through April 25. According to the Japan Society, the play follows “the lives and romances of 20 to 30 year olds who work part-time in a manga café in downtown Tokyo.” Even though the translation is keeping the setting in Japan and the Japanese names, the characters will be played by Westerners a.k.a Americans. So friends, if you happen to live or be visiting New York City, I would suggest checking it out!!!
