Kaibutsu-kun, based on the manga of the same name, stars Satoshi Ohno (of Arashi), Choi Hong Man (Korean K-1 fighter), Masahiro Mastuoka (from TOKIO), and Takeshi Kaga (known as Chairman Kaga from Iron Chef). It starts off in the land of monsters when Kaibutsu-kun (Ohno) is to succeed the throne of his father (Kaga). The werewolf clan, franken clan, and vampire clan send companions to his father. You can totally see that Kaibutsu-kun is super childish as he rejects the gifts Werewolf, Frankenstein and Dracula give. The king decides that Kaibutsu-kun has to complete one thing before he can take the throne, and that’s to go to the human world and help a human.

So the four all get sent to the human world where they meet Hiroshi and Utako. This leads to many mishaps, which includes them having to save Hiroshi and Utako, the four getting arrested and put in jail and Kaibutsu-kun making hilariously adorable faces.
One thing that is a main line of the plot is the Demon World. Apparently this is different from the land of monsters. The Demon World is a bad kind of monsters.

Demokin and Mastuoka tried to kill the king, but has ended up in a cylinder of water to keep him alive but comatose. This causes Demorina and Akkuma to try to save him, so Akkuma goes to the human world to suck up their desires to lie and bring Demokin back. This is how Hiroshi gets into a pickle since he wants everyone to like him, so he lies a lot.

In the end, they are saved. One thing that is big in the series is that Kaibutsu-kun can’t use his powers. He can only use them when he is near a white stone, which Hiroshi happens to take with him. At the end of the episode, Hiroshi is going to return the stone, but ends up seeing Kaibutsu-kun’s true form, which no human is suppose to see!!!

Dun, dun, dun. All in all, I am super excited for the rest of this series. It is incredibly adorable, and Ohno’s acting is really good, which I had no doubt about since I saw Maou. I would check this out for sure!!

P.S. I thought the name Akkuma was funny because Akuma means devil.
