Arashi is the epitome of boy bands in Japan, for me personally. They are the ones that roped me in with Aiba Sugoroku, which is a board game with horrible things such as stocking heads, hot pants and ink portraits. This is why they were chosen to be the first artist of the week.

This group is made of five guys from left to right it’s Aiba, Mastumoto, Sakurai, Ohno and Ninomiya. Let’s start with introductions. First is Aiba Masaki (27) or also known as Aibaka. He is totally the goofball of the group. He’s the one who comes up with the crazy ideas for them to do. He also invented Aiba Engrish, which is something everyone can enjoy. He’s the one who messes up the dances most often.

Second is Matsumoto Jun (26) or MatsuJun. He’s the diva of the group, but also DoS, which means extreme sadist. He likes when people get hurt. He also does a lot of acting although he isn’t considered the best actor of the group. He is also in charge of most of their concerts and wears really sparkly outfits.

Third is Sakurai Sho (28). He is the rapper of the group and his raps are known as Sakurap. He fails the most in the group as he sucks at sports, can’t do backflips, can’t draw and basically fails at everything. One thing he is good at is charades (trampoline or jump rope charades that is). He is also super smart since he graduated from Keio, and he is also a newscaster for News ZERO (the first Johnnys to do so).

Fourth is Ohno Satoshi (29) a.k.a Riida. He’s the leader of the group since he beat Sho in Janken, but all the members of the group agree that if without Riida, they wouldn’t have stayed a group this long. He is currently starring in Kaibutsu-kun, and he was in Maou (my favorite drama). He is an amazing artist and he loves fishing. He goes fishing whenever he can causing him to be super tan. He gets made fun of for that. He’s a mama’s boy since his mom still buys his clothes, and he lives at home. He can sleep with his eyes open.

Last, but not least is Ninomiya Kazunari (26) a.k.a Nino. He is the actor of the group, and recognized as one of the best Japanese actors. He is super snarky and bratty. He loves to save money, and he only goes out with sempai, so he doesn’t have to pay. He starred in “Letters from Iwo Jima.” He is starring in the live action versions of “Gantz” and “Ohoku.”

These guys are so amazing. Not only is their music good, but their personalities are so lovable. You can really tell that the members love each other. Enjoy these videos of their dorkiness.
