Rumors say that Kaibutsu-kun will become a movie. Although ratings are down to about 13% instead of the original 15 to 17%, they say that since the series deal with a lot of family issues, there a lot of families that will probably watch it together. With Arashi’s current popularity, many of their fans would flock to the theaters to go see it. Jun Matsumoto is making a cameo in the finale of the series, so they think there will be a possible chance of the other members showing up in the movie. The storyline will be original with a release date of next summer with a large international location shooting. (United States, please?). The film version of Hana Yori Dango, which starred Matsumoto, was a box office hit of 77.5 billion yen. Will Kaibutsu-kun be able to approach this popularity?

My personal thoughts, I’m pretty sure it will. I mean Arashi is getting so huge now, and I bet there will be a fangirl riot. Kaibutsu-kun is real funny and adorable. It’s really popular with families since a lot of them watch the series together. What do you guys think?
