Remember Eita? Well back off because he’s happily married to Kimura Kaela.
But that’s not the news I wanted to bring you.
A little birdie just told me that the first project for this newlywed 27-year-old is to co-star with Ryuhei Matsuda on an adaptation of the Naoki Prize-winning novel, “Mahoro Ekimae Tada Benrikan,” by Shion Miura.
Basically, this story is set in a fictional Tokyo suburb called Mahoro, where Eita plays a “benriya,” someone who does odd jobs. One day he’s reunited with a former high school classmate, played by Matsuda, and she soon becomes his assistant. As they take on various jobs, their friendship also begins to grow and strengthen.
This is not the first time that Eita and Matsuda have co-starred with each other. In fact, they’ve appeared in three films prior to this one—”Aoi Haru” (2002), “9 SOULS” (2003), and “Ahiru to Kamo no Coin Locker” (2007).
Have you guys seen any of the above movies? Will you be watching this upcoming one?
