Ghost Hunt is probably one of the best anime horror series to date, and its soundtrack composition is among the best of all anime. Though its opening and ending themes don’t really have an animated sequence to them, they work well conveying an overall sense of the supernatural rather than a plot teaser.

Ghost Hunt is very similar to this season’s Yakumo, with a cool and quiet male lead who can see spirits and a female sidekick who tags along, but Ghost Hunt is leagues better than Yakumo. Its storytelling and suspense building are top notch, and sometimes it actually gets a little scary (which many anime shows fail to do miserably). Watch Ghost Hunt if you like supernatural mysteries and ghost stories.
