A huge rumor has been either scaring anime fans or fluttering the hearts of females. The rumor is that Zac Efron has been offered the lead role in the live-action adaption of Akira. If rumors are true, then Efron is most likely to play Shotaro Kaneda, young leader of a motorcycle gang called The Capsules.

Why is it that Asians never play the main role in Asian films? I was actually quite disappointed when I found out an Asian wasn’t playing Goku in Dragon Ball Evolution and now this? They should get Rain to play the parts!
