A 27-year-old part-time employee named Makoto Sekigushi from Chikusei City in Ibaraki, Japan was arrested for allegedly posting images of new Pokémon characters before the release of the latest Pokémon games.
The suspect was accused with copyright infringement for posting six images of Chaoboo and two other new Pokémon characters on the Internet through his mobile phone. The reason they are copyright infringed is because these characters were set to debut in the new Pokémon Black and Pokemon White which they have because games were already shipped in Japan on September 18th, but the problem is that the images were leaked in Shogakukan magazine before the shipping date.
Sekigushi thought he was doing a favor to Pokémon gamers by leaking photos of new characters but I guess it’s going to cost him.
