With Christmas in a month and a bit, Recochoku has administered a survey on the “Best Christmas Song” over a period of two weeks, from October 26th to November 9th, with approximately 1500 participants.

The Result of Recochoku’s Best Christmas Song are as follows:
1. All I Want For Christmas Is You / Mariah Carey
2. LAST CHRISTMAS / EXILE
3. Itsuka no Merry Christmas / B’z
4. Merikuri / BoA
5. Last Christmas / Wham!
6. Christmas Eve / Yamashita Tatsurou
7. Merry Christmas / BUMP OF CHICKEN
8. Hurry Xmas / L’arc~en~Ciel
9. Fuyu no Aru Hi no Uta / GReeeeN
10. WISH / Arashi

As you may or may not have guessed, Mariah Carey came first with her classic song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. Wham!’s song, “Last Christmas” was able to achieve two ranks on the list, with the original coming fifth and EXILE’s cover coming second. It’s interesting to know that seven out of ten of the songs have the word Christmas (or Xmas) in it. I guess it’s kind of obvious, since the name of the Best Christmas Song should have ‘Christmas’ somewhere in the title and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” definitely fits this category.
