A popular gadget in Japan is the online digital clock held by beautiful women and called the ‘bijin-tokei‘. Now a male version of this clock has been revealed and it is titled, ‘binan-tokei‘, translated in beautiful men clock.
A handsome guy will be holding a board that informs of you the current time, what’s amazing is that the picture will change everyone minute and that 260 different guys will show up one by one every four minutes.
The developers went out onto shopping streets in Shibuya, Ginza and Roppongi to take snapshots of good-looking guys.
“The hardest part was to find handsome guys. Because our staffs are mostly men, it was hard to tell who is good-looking to women. We are exciting but at the same afraid to see female users’ reactions. ‘Comforting’ is one of the main themes for the clock, so we put a lot of soushokukei-danshi (which means “herbivore men” and is a new generation term to refer a gentle, not so manly man.) to comfort women.”
You can view a bijin-tokei or a binan-rokei on bijin.com. The clock also comes in different countries’ versions including Korea, Taiwan, France and Hong Kong.
