Japan has announced that it will be returning some 1,000 items of South Korean cultural property to South Korea as a form of renewed apology for the 1910-45 colonial rule.
According to the Yonhap News Agency, Japan and South Korea will be making official statements which will briefly describe the agreement between the two countries about the Korean archives. One of the items include a collection of royal books titled, ‘Uigwe‘ from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).
