The Arashi wave has hit Peru. Really. Recently, the Peruvian Network Television did a special report about Asia pop music. And guess what group they focused on - Arashi! Yaaay!

Seems like they have many many fans in Peru. I love that Peru did a special report on this; maybe Arashi will see this all the way in Japan and be convinced to go on a tour to Peru and maybe even America! One girl that they interviewed had a chance to show viewers her room which is filled with Arashi merchandise. Every inch of her wall seemed to be covered in poster. And then she showed us the fans she got at the concerts, the live DVDs she bought, the CDs that she has (my friends, and I, are all jealous of her). She also shared with us some rules that fans follow at concerts in Japan. You can only bring in one fan, and you can’t raise it above your head. I guess they have this rule so that everyone sitting in that level of the stadium can see. And apparently, Japanese fans are all very coordinate. They wave their fans at the same time, they even scream at the same time!

That’s amazing; I wish I could attend one of Arashi’s concert. I found this really interesting, a fan they interviewed said that JPOP is a whole different culture, and “Arashi transmits family, unity, and that’s why they love them.” It’s very true; Arashi themselves is like a little family. They are all great friends and they are really supportive of each other. (And maybe that’s also why Ohno still lives with his mother; he loves his family a lot!)

Anyway, that’s just some of what they talked about during the report. Here’s the clip with English subtitles so you can follow along!
