A survey held in November by the Dentsu Buzz Research system revealed the Top 20 hit products in Japan in 2010. The results revealed that Smartphones, Twitter and Munchable chili were in the Top 3 respectively.

No. 1: Smartphones
No. 2: Twitter
No. 3: Munchable chili oil (taberu raayu)
No. 4: Digital broadcasting-equipped flat-panel TVs
No. 5: Ryoma Sakamoto (1836-1867; popular historical figure whose profile was raised by TV Drama “The Legend of Ryoma”)
I am not surprised that smartphones are number one since Japan is a very high-tech country. I wonder what munchable chili oil tastes like but the thought of eating oil is kind of off-putting.
