Popular Japanese manga ‘The Drops of God‘ (Les Gouttes de Dieu) is a story based on the son of a deceased wine critic. The goal in the story is for the son to inherit his father’s collection and to do so, he must identify 13 fine wines, ‘Twelve Apostles‘ before his adopted brother does.

Now the manga is being brought into reality because all the Twelve Apostles featured in the manga are now becoming real-life vintages. Authors of the manga, Yuko and Shin Kibayashi did not expect such a great response from readers and now even the French wine market is being influenced by this.

This is pretty interesting. The authors picked the wines purely on taste so I am quite curious as to what they taste like.
