A recent survey of 633 females and 222 males conducted by Cobs Online Japan revealed that there are major stereotypes that need to be corrected. Some of these incorrect stereotypes include men liking bigger breasts, men disliking highly educated women, women who love name-brand items and women not wanting to work after getting married.

Firstly, Japanese girls assume that guys…

- …like big breasts (30%). This is wrong, males stated “shape is more important than size.”
- …like skinny girls (25%). Males believe that “skinny model types are too fake. Having natural curves is more womanly.”
- …dislike highly educated women (20%). Not entirely true. “Smart people are more interesting to talk to.”

Japanese guys assume that girls…

- …like name-brand items (38%). Even though Japanese women look fashionable, “here are lots of girls who have no idea about famous brands.”
- …can’t decide anything on their own (32%). Be careful guys, “there are very few women who depend on a guy that much.”
- …want to quite their jobs after getting married (27%). Equality needs to be known, “Women have dreams just like men; that idea is dead.”
