Yep. The picture above pretty much explains why the title of my blog post is called “Strange Tea Ceremony.” Some might wonder if the picture was ever photoshopped. To answer your question, NO it was not photoshopped. The videos below will prove that. This queer ceremony was taken place at Saidaiji temple in Nara, Japan. “Ochamori” is a popular tea ceremony that is practiced there. It’s basically visitors drinking powdered tea green from a large tea bowl that is more than 30cm in diameter!
The funny thing about this is that you can’t drink your tea without the help of your neighbors. Watch the two videos below!
