According to the April issue of manga magazine “Monthly G Fantasy“, Hotta Kiichi’s manga “Kimi to Boku” will soon be adapted into an anime TV show!
Don’t know what “Kimi to Boku” is about? Basically, it is a teenage comedy series which was first introduced in “Monthly G Fantasy” in 2004. The focus is on five high school boys and their various adventures in daily life.
Here is the main character breakdown: twins Asaba Yuuta and Yuuki, feminine Matsuoka Shun, and the class president Tsukahara Kaname. These four have been friends since kindergarten, though Tachibana Chizuru, a half-Japanese transfer student, joins them later to be labeled the mood maker.
From the description above, I can’t help but think that the concept reminds me a little of Ouran High School Host Club.
But “Kimi to Boku” also had drama CDs released back in 2005 and 2006, featuring these talented voice actors and actress: Kaida Yuki (Yuta), Minagawa Junko (Yuki), Kugimiya Rie (young Shun), Takayama Minami (Shun), Paku Romi (young Kaname), Suzumura Kenichi (Kaname), and Takeuchi Junko (Chizuru).
Taekeuchi Junko is best known for her role of Shonen Jump’s famous character Naruto. Why did I mention her specifically? That is the only name I recognize from the list. Do you guys see any familiar names?
Unfortunately, the date for the anime to be aired is still unknown for the time being. When it does, I wonder how the characters will be played out in this story of friendship.
