We’ve already heard the song, and now it is time to see if the music video lives up to these same standards. Today Japanese girl group, SCANDAL, has unleashed their newest single Haruka. Now lets see how their music video goes, shall we?

SCANDAL never ceases to amaze me. I really loved this video, there were only minor things that irked me. Since the song was long, and there was no storyline, I found myself thinking at one point that it was a little too repetitious, but I thought that right as it started to pick up again, so I let it slide for the most part. Hah.

Surprisingly I really liked the flashing lights through out the video and even the slow-motion effect, normally I’m very picky about the overuse of effects, but it went so well with this video, the slow-motion was one of the repetitious things that started to irk me though.

And going from the dark, dramatic setting to their bubble gum rock ‘n’ roll setting, it was adorable and totally their style! The negative color saturation of them flipping around their guitars was nicely added on, but near the end they started changing certain scenes to sepia which I didn’t like, there were too many color effects added in. But the sepia looked great, I would have preferred that over the black and white from the very start.

There wasn’t much of a dance routine, but when they did break out into a beat it was fantastic!

Overall I would rate this video a 4.5.

What did you guys think of the music video?
