I have been watching Supernatural since I was very young, and anime as well. Soon, these two interests will be colliding! That is because on July 26th, the anime version of the show will be released.

This version was created after the realization that the show had an enormous following in Japan. Apparently, the characters in the anime will bear the likenesses of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, the actors who play Dean and Sam Winchester. There are twenty two episodes; Padalecki’s voice is used in all of them while Ackles participated in only some. It’s interesting that this is the first time an American live action series has been turned into an episodic anime. As a fan, it makes me very proud and expectant.

Oh gosh, I’m really excited for this. I wonder if Jared or Jensen will do the voices for the English dub. I hope this 6th season doesn’t turn into a 7th but I still want them around so hopefully they are able to do some VO work. <3
