It has been reported that an overwhelming amount of 6 billion yen (~$73 million) bid has been made on X JAPANmember YOSHIKI’s beloved crystal piano! Yoshiki donated his piano to an online charity auction held by Yahoo! Japan.

The auction began last April 17th at one yen, a lot were amused that it was able to reach 100 million yen on the 19th but right after, the bid skyrocketed to very large amount of 6 billion yen. Due to the extremely high bid, Yahoo! temporarily suspended the auction to confirm that the bidder’s credibility.

The auction is expected to end on the 24th, with all the money earned going for disaster relief.
