The June issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Ikki magazine has announced that the creator of Saturn Apartments, Hisae Iwaoka will be ending her manga series in the next issue in May.

The story revolves around the future, where all of Earth is declared as a giant nature reserve where no human can step foot on. So humanity decided to migrate into a massive aerial ring system that circle 35,000 meters above the ground. Human society is then divided into the upper echelons society, who are living on the highest level of society while the lower classes live down below. A boy names Mitsu has only known life on the lowest level. However, his father suddenly disappears when Mitsu graduated from middle school, and so Mitsu inherits his father job, washing the windows of the giant ring system.

Iwaoka has been been drawing this manga ever since 2005, the sixth compiled book volume has already been shipped to Japan last August. Viz Media has also launched the manga online in North America in 2009, and will be printing the third volume next month.
