You may have heard of Director Spike Lee from his works like Do the Right Thing, Jungle Fever, Malcolm X etc. Recently, he signed on to a new project: an American remake of the South korean film Oldboy from Park Chan Wook. The storyline is originally from the Japanese manga Oldboy, but the first live-action version was Korean.
The plot surrounds a man who’s been imprisoned for 15 years, but when he is released, he finds out that the imprisoner has planned even more torturous treatment for him (shiver).
Lee is currently talking with Mandate Pictures on this remake. This company has been involved in porjects like The Ring, Death Note, Thor, and many more. That’s not a bad list of works!
It seems interesting for a leisure watch!
