Ghibli films are my FAVOURITE. Not only are the plots always amazing, but the original soundtrack, mostly composed by Joe Hisaishi, are just MIND-BLOWINGLY great. Premiering this summer, Studio Ghibli’s new film is Kokurikozaka Kara (From Kokuriko Hill). As expected, the director is Goro Miyazaki, one of my idols.

This film was already released in Japan, last weekend actually. It opened in 457 theatres, earning 587 million yen in just three days! (That’s around 6 million USD). Thus, the film placed 3rd place for its opening frame, closely behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II and the Pocket Monster movie.

Here is the latest trailer to the movie, and I’m DEMANDING that North American air this film soon in theatres here.
