The final episode of the anime ‘Ao no Exorcist‘ is to air on October 2nd, but producers have already announced that the show will be turned into an anime film.

‘Ao no Exorcist’ is a manga created by Katou Kazue which has gained global popularity after being featured in a manga magazine, “Jump SQ” back in May of 2009. The story is centered on protagonist Rin who exorcises demons as his job as an Exorcist. The story is supposed to display a sense of irony, seeing as how Rin is in fact the son of Satan.

Before ‘Ao no Exorcist’ was turned into an anime, the manga only sold a mere 140,000 copies. After the broadcasting of the anime, however, the comic has received still growing popularity. The seventh and latest volume have been announced to have sold over 1,000,000 copies.

The release date of the movie has is yet to be decided, but will be announced soon enough.
