It was announced today that Yamashita Tomohisa and Nishikido Ryo have withdrawn from the popular Johnny’s Entertainment group, NEWS.

According to sources, Yamashita will continue on as a solo artist and Nishikdo will continue as part of Kanjani8. This does not mean that NEWS will be dissolving though. The four remaining members, Koyama Keiichiro, Shigeaki Kato, Yuya Tegoshi, and Masuda Takahisa plan to keep NEWS going as a quartet.

Wow…NEWS down to 4 members now? That’s too bad.
