It’s been previously reported that Nishikido Ryo will be taking his leave from NEWS in order to remain with his other band, Kanjani8, but he was yet to further speak about it(besides his announcement of withdrawal) - until now.

Kanjani8 guest starred on the 3 hour “Music Station” special that took place on October 14th, previous member of NEWS, Nishikido Ryo commented on his withdrawal.

Ryo’s statement about the departure consisted of, “From now on, I want to do my best as Kanjani8’s Nishikido Ryo. Also, everyone, please support the new NEWS, and Yamapi [Yamashita Tomohisa].” He further explained his withdrawal with, “I’m sure I surprised many people, but there were circumstances with my schedule, and problems because I was in two groups. Also, I was always troubled that I may be causing trouble to both groups.” After his comment, the members of Kanjani8 bowed, and promised to continue their activities.

Although many fans of NEWS are sad from the loss, the fans of Kanjani8 can smile once again with the revival of Ryo’s place.
