AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko was awarded with ‘THE BEST BEAUTY OF THE YEAR’ last November 22nd at the ‘VOCE BEAUTY AWARDS 2011 Best Cosmetics Grand Prix.

“I’m surprised. I’m a girl, so I have an interest in beauty, so I’m happy. I haven’t told the other members yet”, says Maeda.

Now commenting about turning 20 this year, she said, “It was a year where I was able to think about how to become an adult. Next year, I want to be aware of beauty everyday, so I can become a beautiful woman.” She also shared some beauty tips as well: “I’m the one who wants advice, but I think it’s eating breakfast, and getting a good amount of sleep,” and “I’m very particular about the corner of my eyes. Like applying thick mascara.”

The award given to Maeda Atsuko was just established this year. The award is given to the most talked about celebrities of the year. Maeda really deserve this award as she appeared in numerous dramas and movies and was also elected as the AKB48 General Election. Aside from that, she also appeared in various commercials.
