Christmas shopping is currently under way, but for me, one of the funnest things to do are fill people’s stockings. You can put a wide range of things in the stockings from little gag gifts to something practical. Check out some of the stocking stuffers that I would be in these anime character’s stockings.

Souma Yuki (Fruits Basket)
Souma Yuki is another handsome high school student that girls fall head over heels for, but unlike Tamaki, he tends to give off a slightly colder image that has softened by Honda Tohru’s presence in his life. One of his secrets that he shared with Tohru towards the beginning of the anime was his little vegetable garden, which Tohru instantly gushed over to his delight. So what does that have to do with his stocking? I can’t possibly get him something to grow in his vegetable garden since it’s winter…so what about a little indoor herb garden like the Chia herb garden kit? It may be too cold outside, but indoors he can easily grow some herbs as long as he has the right sunlight…and as long as Kyou and Shigure stay away from it. Looks like I have to find a small herb garden to fit in a stocking!

Suou Tamaki (Ouran High School Host Club)
Tamaki, the President and co-founder of Ouran High School’s Host Club, is known for his charisma and charm. All of the girls swoon over him and pray that he just gives them one little look over in their direction. But when he met Fujioka Haruhi, he was introduced to an entirely new world…the commoner world…and that began with instant coffee, which is why I would put this cheap gift into Tamaki’s stocking. Tamaki was the first to try it and surprisingly loved it! So why not save a little money and get him some more, right? Maybe he can even explore the world of International Delight flavored instant coffee, right?

Dante (Devil May Cry)
This incredibly masculine half-demon is a beast at fighting and one of two sons of Sparda. When he’s not fighting he is lazy and always in debt because he absolutely sucks at gambling. But what would be a good stocking stuffer for this guy? Oddly enough…this guy has a soft spot for strawberry sundaes…so what a better gift than a $10 gift certificate to Dairy Queen! I mean if he goes to DQ he can get like 5 strawberry sundaes for like $2 each! At least that would give him another $10 he can lose to gambling, right?

Inu Yasha (Inu Yasha)
Stocking stuffers would be pretty cheap for this adorable, hanyou (half-human, half demon) because I would completely fill his stocking with Cup of Noodles! Inu Yasha, who is the main character of the series (clearly since his name is the series’ name), is a strong, white-haired, white-earred half-demon that is pinned to a tree for hundreds of years by the miko that he loves after stealing the powerful Jewel of Four Souls (shikon no tama) from her. After years of sleep, he is awakened by the miko’s reincarnation from hundreds of years in the future, who just so happened to fall down a well taking her to his time. After awakening him, the two begin a LONG journey to gather the pieces of the jewel and to form it back together. So what’s the deal with Inu Yasha and cup of noodles?! Well…the girl from the future, Kagome brought it with her in her massive backpack from the future and after one taste…Inu Yasha was addicted. So whenever she goes home, she brings him…cup of noodles. You would think that there would be other delicious food that Inu Yasha would want to try, but no…instant ramen is all he needs. So…cup of noodles it is! I wonder how many cup of noodles you can fit in the stocking…

Death the Kid (Soul Eater)
Death the Kid is the son of Death himself, and is typically called Kid. This guy, just like his dad, is a fierce Shinigami especially for his age. However, he has a small problem…he likes symmetry, which is why he wields two guns in battle, wears two skull rings, and freaks out if something is out of symmetry (just don’t point out the fact that the white ring on his head only goes halfway…). So what to get this kid for a stocking stuffer… Well knowing me…I would mess around with him a bit. So I would spend a little extra and get him skull cuff links. Yes yes…a little out of my price range for a stocking stuffer, but when you only put one cuff link in the stocking for him to find…his reaction would be priceless! I would eventually give him the other, but to see him trying to figure out what he is going to do with one cufflink would be totally worth it, don’t you think?

Natsu (Fairy Tail)
Fairy Tail’s Natsu is back on the list. One of the first things that popped in my mind for this character was the motion sickness drug, dramamine. If you’re not familiar with Natsu, this incredibly powerful and loyal Fairy Tail member has 2 flaws…one he destroys everything around him, even if he is trying to help (which makes him fit in perfectly with the rest of Fairy Tail), and two…no matter what mode of transportation he uses (other than walking), so bikes, boats, carriages, trains…this guy gets violently ill from motion sickness. Strange, huh? Such a strong guy can be instantly crippled by something like that. Well considering that fact, I figure why not try giving the guy dramamine for his stocking. If anything it wouldn’t hurt, right? Well…he’ll have to wait until Christmas for that gift though lol.

Shikamaru (Naruto)
Next is the lazy genius of Konohagakure, Nara Shikamaru…who just so happens to be one of my favorite characters on the anime. Shika has a great mind that is frequently used for strategy, but that’s really only when he needs to. If he’s not being productive…then you’ll typically find him sitting around, lounging or playing shogi. Which brings us to his stocking stuffer…I would want to give him a travel shogi set. Considering how much he plays shogi, it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for him to have a set for his travels. Although…I wonder who he would play with considering he doesn’t exactly go on missions with his dad. Maybe it will be one of those things that he plays against himself! That would be interesting…Shikamaru vs. Shikamaru…well…if anything it would be a for sure win, right?

Inoue Orihime (Bleach)
Inoue Orihime is the bubbly, almost always happy, well-endowed girl in Bleach, who cannot cook for the life of her. Orihime, who just so happen to get her powers from the main character, Kurosaki Ichigo, is actually pretty strong but she lacks in the confidence department. Anyway, for her stocking, I would put a book like “Cooking for Dummies” in there. As I mentioned before, she is terrible at cooking. She tends to mix things that should never mix together and whenever she does make something, she is usually the only one that can eat it. Funny thing is…she thinks it’s delicious! Anyway, a novice-level cookbook would be a great stocking stuffer for this character.

Gray (Fairy Tail)
Ah…the infamous Fairy Tail stripper has made yet another list… So what would I buy for his stocking? CHRISTMAS BOXERS!!! This powerful ice-magic wielder always ends up walking around in just his boxers, and sometimes he doesn’t even realize that he stripped down either! At least until someone yells at him to PUT SOME CLOTHES ON! You would think that since he is an ice-magic wielder he would be constantly cold, but he took after his master, who also stripped down to her underwear. Anyway, if he’s going to strip down to his boxers, might as well have some festive ones, right?! Hmmm…I’m sure there are some hilarious Christmas boxers out there that would make Gray blush.
