So far three AKB48 members have made a solo debut, and on February 29th, Watanabe Mayu will be added to the list.

The 17-year old AKB48 member will be releasing her single “Synchro Tokimeki” on February 29th of next year, and the song will also be used for the TV Tokyo drama (title unknown) that she will be starring in. The drama is set to air on January 13th.

Other AKB48 members that have made solo debuts are Maeda Atsuko, Itano Tomomi, and Iwasa Misaki.
