On December 21st, D-BOYS’ D☆DATE attended a release event for their first live DVD, ‘D☆DATE 1st tour 2011 Summer DATE LIVE ~ Te wo Tsunaide~,’ containing footage from their June live.

D☆DATE performed their newest single “Love Heaven” for the first time in front of 1,500 fans at the release event. Araski Hirofumi (who wrote the lyrics to honor their one year anniversary) commented, “…I wanted to pronounce music’s power through the name of D☆DATE and thus, wrote this song. With this song, I hope to face 2012 head-on.”

The fans also gave the group an early Christmas gift when they sang along with D☆DATE’s debut song “Ato 1cm no Mirai.” Seto Koji began commenting, “Although I could myself giving all of our fans a surprise, I can’t believe we are getting one too…” before the overflowing emotions cut him off.

This sounds like it was a really great event for both the band and the fans. Check out some photos below.
