Visual kei band Alice Nine held a special live show at Akagi Shrine in Kagurazaku, Tokyo on January 15th.

Alice Nine went to Akagi Shrine, sharing the tradition of Hatsumode (first shrine visit of the New Year) as a band, saying, “It has become a good memory.” Before the show, a Shinto pried purified the band members, and they prayed for the success of their new album, “9.”

The members wore traditional male formal attire, consisting of haori and hakama, making Hiroto (gu) comment, “My body has become tense,” and Shou (vo) state, “I was able to feel that I’m a Japanese man.”

Alice Nine played in the area under the shrine in front of 200 fans, entertaining them with 8 songs in total, including “Niji no Yuki,” their latest single. The live ended with Shou’s shout of “We plan to go at full speed in 2012, so please lend us your power!
