YOHIO, a Swedish male with feminine beauty and outrageous guitar skills, will be making a Japanese debut this April 29th with his mini-album, titled “REACH the SKY.”

Guitarist of Swedish visual kei band Seremedy, YOHIO experienced touring in Japan for the first time last April. Seremedy also played as an opening act for “V-ROCK FESTIVAL ‘11.”

He has signed to Universal Music Japan, and will be making his solo debut on February 9th at Takadanobaba ESP Music School’s showcase.

YOHIO’s interest in Japan began with his introduction to anime at the age of 10. He began reading Japanese blogs, followed celebrities on Twitter, and took the initiative to learn the language. In 2009, he opened his official blog on popular social network AMEBA. Some of his favorite musicians include MALICE MIZER (especially GACKT and Mana), Syu (Galneryus), and HIAZKI (Versailles), who he has become friends with.

Woah… I am really excited about this. I had taken an interest in Seremedy last year when I randomly found their facebook (I really enjoy their music), so to hear that YOHIO is making a solo project in Japan… it’s just fascinating!! I wish him all the luck I can give!!! 頑張ってよ、YOHIOさん。
