The rock band, Remioromen, has decided to go on hiatus.
The band made the announcement on their website on February 1st, stating that they will be pursuing different music paths, which they experimented with last year while celebrating 10 years of success.
On February 29th, Vocalist and guitarist, Fujimaki Ryota will be debuting as a solo act with “Hikari wo Atsumete”, while the group’s bassist, Maeda Keisuke will focus on producing and proposing. As far as the drummer, Jinguji Osamu, it sounds like he will be working on some projects as well.
Remioromen came together in December of 2000 and debuted in August 2003. Their hit song “Konayuki” sold over a million copies and they made their first “Kohaku Uta Gassen” appearance in 2009.
Awww…so sad to see them go on hiatus. I remember singing “Konayuki” for karaoke! Well…best of luck to each of the members while they go their separate ways. Hope they come together again soon.
