In its first week, SKE48’s latest single, “Kataomoi Finally,” has sold 496,000 copies, putting it at the top of Oricon Weekly Singles chart.
“Kataomoi Finally” has more of a serious theme conveying feelings of unrequited love; though, the melody is pretty catchy. The PV for this single is fairly shocking, as the members are involved in homosexual scenes permeated with love, jealousy, bullying, and violence.
If you’re interested in checking the video out, click to the Vimeo site. I feel that at some points, however, the actions in the video are too serious for the upbeat melody of the song.
