A new series of the former popular anime “Saint Seiya Ω” will be airing on TV asahi starting in April! “Saint Seiya” started out as a popular manga series by Kurumada Masami, and was then adapted as a TV anime series from October 1986 to April 1989 on TV asahi.
The story follows five magical warriors, the ‘Saints,’ that fight in sacred armor inspired by various constellations that are the guardian symbols of each warrior. The five Saints defend the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena in her battle against the other Olympian gods who want to dominate the earth.
The new series, “Saint Seiya Ω,” will focus on a new generation character named Kouga, who chases after the back of legendary Saint Seiya. Kouga and his fellows become involved in a persistent battle against the evil warrior, Mars.
“Saint Seiya Ω” will begin airing in April every Sunday at 6:30 A.M. - 7:00 A.M. on TV asahi.
