From Ningin: I’m currently playing Final Fantasy X and was in the mode to post Final Fantasy cosplay for Picture of the Day when I stumbled upon this adorable picture (looking at Yuna’s cosplayer, I assume it’s from FFX2). They both cosplay their characters, Tidus and Yuna, very well. They even share a real kiss! More »

From Ningin: Here’s an interesting concept. If you like boat rides, anime/manga, and cosplay and in live in the United Kingdom, then you’re in luck. There’s a convention called the Cosplay Cruise where you get to sail on the Dixie Queen down the Thames River. Sounds exciting. More »

From Wirebot:

Everyone loves cosplay! While I myself do not have the time or patience it takes to craft these real life adaptions of our favorite characters, I applaud those who do! In this feature we have collected some of the best and worst Bioshock cosplayers from around the ‘net. You think you’ve seen some ugly Splicers? Wait until you see some of these! More »

About a year ago Kirsten Dunst, of such Hollywood fame as Spider-man, was seen running around Japan with pink hair and a Sailor Moon style outfit. Well it turns out that she wasn’t just insane, but was doing some “art” with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. More »

1. Learn more of the classics. I already listen to many of the originators, innovators, and pioneers like BUCK-TICK, Malice Mizer, X JAPAN, GLAY, and T.M.Revolution, but I really need to familiarize with more than “just what I like.” I need to branch out from the standards in my collection and really dig deep into the catalogs of bands like Shonen Knife, The Alfee, and BOOWY. This week was a busy week here at Rekuru with 2009 drawing to a close and countless End of the Year Specials across Rekuru and its sister-sites. With posts ranging from the 10 best DS games of the year, to a 2010 wishlist, to even a look back at Japan this past year, this was a trip down memory lane you don’t want to miss. Also worth mentioning was the announcement of Akira Kurosawa month which is guaranteed to be amazing. Just saying. More »

Comic cons, anime festivals, and the like have run their course this year. With 2009 almost at an end, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the best cosplay of the year. And while the many festivals and conventions have come and gone, 2010 is around the corner with more cosplay goodness waiting to be had. More »
