Actress Iwata Sayuri, who plays the heroine in the upcoming movie “Assassin,” recently appeared at an event for Assassin at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. “Assassin,” directed by Go Ohara, was filmed last November in Sendai, Miyagi, and will hit theaters on October 8th. More »

A trailer for the new Doraemon movie, titled “Doraemon Nobita to Kiseki no Shima: Animal Adventure,” was recently revealed through its official site. On Friday, a publicity representative for TOHO posted a photograph of the courtroom from Takashi Miike’s live-action adaptation of CAPCOM’s Ace Attorney video game franchise. The award-winning art staff that worked on Jūsan-nin no Shikaku is also working on this film as well. More »


It was announced that the Hello! Project unit, Buono!, would be starring in their very first movie called “Gomenasai” (”Sorry”). The film was adapted from a popular mobile horror story, and will feature all three members as high school students who get dragged into series of paranormal experiences. More »


Perfume had previously went to Hollywood for the worldwide premiere of the animated movie, “Cars 2.” On July 4th, Fuji TV’s “Mezamashi TV” had aired their coverage on Perfume’s trip. It was just revealed that Berryz Koubou’s Kumai Yurina and C-ute’s Suzuki Airi will be starring together in the upcoming suspense horror movie, “Oosama Game,” based on author Kanazawa Nobuaki’s cell-phone novel of the same name.
