Riisa Naka, who was recently just featured as the Actress of the Week, has landed her first starring role as a teacher in “Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo,” which starts July 15. The drama is based on a popular comic essay series. Finally! They have Kaibutsu-kun episodes 3 and 4 have been released. First, I am sad to say that I will no longer be doing recaps of Sunao ni Narenakute and Tsuki no Koibito. Tsuki no Koibito didn’t really meet my expectations and was not very good in my opinion. Sunao ni Narenakute is really good, but so many things happen in one episode that my brain is having a hard time keeping track!! I will definitely be buying its soundtrack!! It was just announced that TOKIO’s Tomoya Nagase and Toma Ikuta (which sounds so much better as Ikuta Toma) are starring in a drama together next season. Noriyuki Higashiyama (43) has been cast to star in a new medical drama for next season which is currently untitled. Higashiyama is a member of Shounentai, one of the oldest groups in Johnny’s Entertainment, and is one of the hottest JE guys in my opinion. Higashiyama plays the brilliant but comical Dr. Goto, who takes on the challenge of analyzing patients with undiagnosed illnesses and determining their conditions. More »

After a long wait, Kaibutsu-kun episode 2 was finally released. In this episode, it focused on the greed of money in order to restore Demokin’s life force. In this episode like Hiroshi in the first one, Utako gets consumed by the greed of money. Since she is supporting her younger brother (I don’t know what happened to their parents), she works part time jobs. She ends up getting in lots of trouble because of it, and Kaibutsu and his friends have to save her. More »

TVXQ’s Yoochun is going to be starring in a BeeTV drama about a Korean who is the second generation of a financial group. It will tell the story about him falling in love with a Japanese woman. Aya Oomasa, from Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, will play a magazine writer who dreams of being a novelist.
