Welcome to Plusle and Minun Reviews. You may be asking yourself why I chose these two as the face of my reviews, allow me to elaborate. Plusle (left) and Minun (right) hail from the world Pokemon and bear a striking resemblance to the license’s well known face: Pikachu. The obvious difference of course is that one has a positive appearance and the other a negative one.
By now, you’re probably scratching your head wondering, while that’s all nice and good, what does that have to do with a review? Simple. As opposed to most reviews you will find on video games, Plusle and Minun reviews are short but sweet, positives and negatives of a specific game with an overall letter grade. Rather than read pages of text, most people just want to know is it a good game? What’s good about it? And what’s not so good? Plusle and Minun Reviews is just that - a quick and easy list of the good as well as the bad. Additionally, there will always be a trailer at the end for all of you to check out because I know how much you all love trailers. With all that said and done, enjoy.
South Park proves no nationality is safe from scrutiny as a recent episode from their newest season, entitled “Whale Whores“, pokes fun at the Japanese people. Without spoiling too much, the episode begins with Stan and his family enjoying a day at the Denver Aquarium. The good times don’t last for long when a horde of Japanese with spears suddenly attack and kill all dolphins and whales. More »
Move over HoverRound, there’s a new mobility device targeted towards the elderly in town. Japanese automaker Honda recently unveiled this motorized unicycle to the Tokyo press, promising that the device would not only be easy to use but unobtrusive to other pedestrians as well. More »
This console generation, home to high definition gaming and wii-mote waggling, genres like shooters have seen an explosion of interest with games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Gears of War, Resistance: Fall of Man, Killzone 2, Halo 3, and much more. While that’s all well and good for shooter fans, there are some gamers that have been all but left in the cold. Let’s face it, not everyone enjoys shooting things in the face. What about RPG (that’s role playing games for the uninitiated) enthusiasts? This generation, there has been very little in the way of RPG’s and while the future release of Final Fantasy XIII may help change that much like its predecessor VII did for the Playstation, it still doesn’t change the fact that there is a major RPG drought at the moment. What’s a gamer to do? Enter the Nintendo DS. More »
When it comes down to it, a title can make or break an anime. You may not think so at first but when trying to find a new anime to watch amidst a sea of titles, an interesting sounding title can be more than enough reason to check it out. Of course, a bad title can do quite the opposite. Imagine how well recieved Cowboy Bebop would have been had it been called Super Happy Bounty Hunter Time! So with that in mind, I present five anime who’s titles can only be described as ill-conceived. More »
With the week drawing to a close, so too does ninja week. While we’ve learned a lot about these shuriken throwers for hire, in this article I’ll take a look at ninjas in art. Below I’ve cobbled together a smattering of artwork I found for your viewing pleasure. Ranging from vintage woodblock prints to deviant art finds, there’s a little bit of something for everyone. Enjoy. More »
Disclaimer: I had hoped to do a write-up for this restaurant but due to time (and especially budgetary constraints) that was not to be. Despite that, I’ve decided to go ahead with the article to give everyone a head’s up on an interesting restaurant to check out if you’re ever in the NYC area. More »

Today’s ninja video of the day is a blast from the past. Fans of old kung-fu movies rejoice! And for those unfamiliar with old kung-fu movies, if this clip doesn’t make you want to see more I don’t know what will. Regardless, enjoy.
Unfortunately, not all ninja games for the Nintendo DS are as good as monday’s Ninjatown. Like Tenchu: Dark Secret for example. Take everything you like about Tenchu. Got all that? Good. Now throw it all out the window. What’s left you ask? Tenchu: Dark Secret, perhaps one of the worst titles in the franchise’s history. More »
