Last I saw of Kanjani8, they were helping Morinaga advertise its Hi-Chews (which are delicious, by the way). After finishing up that venture, some members, Maruyama Ryuhei, Murakami Shingo, Yokoyama Yu and Shibutani Subaru, jumped ship to aid CAPCOM in promoting their “Monster Hunter Portable 3rd,” which hit Japan on December 1. Capcom likes to gives us treats, and with Capcom Captivate, we have been getting them in the bucket loads. I recently mentioned that the new Okami sequel will be coming to US shores on the Nintendo DS very soon, but I never really drove home how amazing the art style of this game is. The original blew so many minds with its bright vibrant colors and awesome use of cell shading technology. This game is no different, and carries that same beautiful stylistic touch to a new platform. More »

Recently at Captivate, Capcom’s personal mini E3, many cool game releases were announced, and because of that, they seemed to overshadow this little gem. Okamiden, sequel to the hit title Okami on the Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii, was confirmed for a US release sometime in Fall 2011. Maybe not as big of a story as Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but definitely something I am excited for! More »

Though it isn’t much different than the previous announced Super Street Fighter IV boxart displayed in January, this slick and improved design will be the final cover for the game releasing at the end of April. It is pretty interesting that Capcom actually took the time to listen to fans, who didn’t really think the art was in the “super” category, and actually changed it before release. More »
