From Girlybubble: If netbooks were not cute enough due to their small sizes, they have gotten even cuter in design thanks to Rilakkuma. Bandai Namco released a second generation of their Rilakkuma netbook. More »

From Girlybubble: Although Hello Kitty iPad accessories are few in number due to the recent release of the iPad, the Hello Kitty Pop Art iPad case isn’t the only iPad accessory for Hello Kitty fans. My search for Hello Kitty iPad accessories yielded the following: More »

From Girlybubble: With Apple’s iPad being the current buzz word, it was only a matter of time before Hello Kitty would get her precious claws on it. And by ‘it,’ I mean, a Hello Kitty iPad case. We all saw this coming — if it’s popular, chances are Hello Kitty is on it. I’m not the biggest Apple fan, but looking at this iPad case makes me want to jump in on the iPad craze. More »

Is Purikura too ‘tame’ for you? Has the thrill of drawing strawberries and fireworks all over your friends worn off? Well then you might want to give Videkura a try. More »

Need a great gift for someone special with a soft spot for Japanese cuisine? Here you can buy an automatic Takoyaki Factory Ton Ton cooker. Takoyaki, or “octopus balls,” are popular Japanese hors d’vours and can be quite difficult to cook properly - but not anymore! This little device flips each ball to cook them perfectly and evenly on all sides, but only if you time it right. More »

From Girlybubble: I feel like it’s slowly becoming my duty to inform people of the cute things they shouldn’t be eating because some sort of poisoning might result. Take Japan’s latest Docomo Q-pot Melting Chocolate phone. If the Docomo Q-pot phones had (cute chocolate) feet, it’d kick the LG Chocolate in the ass. It literally looks like a bar of chocolate! Although Q-pot is best known for its food-inspired accessories, you can’t actually eat them — the human digestive system isn’t capable of digesting. More »

If we were to call the Internet the newest New Frontier apart from outer space, I’d say the Mixr network is rapidly expanding into it. Our recent claims include:
-beauty site, FlauntMe.com -Japanese entertainment site, Rekuru.com -gaming site, Wirebot.com -gadget site, Ziggytek.com -girly and cute site, GirlyBubble.com
Expansion is a trend we are all about maintaining! On that note, we’re looking to increase our editorial staff by offering paid and volunteer writing gigs for all of the above.
What we’re looking for: - Good writers with interesting writing styles and personalities. - People with deep understanding, knowledge and passion for the respective sites. - Consistency and enthusiasm.
Just head over to our blogger signup page if interested and we’ll contact you if everything looks good. More »

From Ningin: Most of the stuff Japan creates I’m in awe of, one way or another. And a lot of it, we use and enjoy. But what about the other rejects that don’t quite make American shores? I can see the conversation now. “Mr. Panasonic, I really loved that thing you call an LCD-HDTV you invented and sent to my house yesterday, as I watch movies on It with all my friends and family. But sorry, I really didn’t find a place for your umbrella shoes, my store shelves are full”. Oh and good luck– like you could say this directly to the Japanese directors face without getting sliced and diced by his Ginsu he invented just last Christmas! Without further ado, in no particular rank, here are some really lame, or strange inventions! More »
