Noriyuki Higashiyama (43) has been cast to star in a new medical drama for next season which is currently untitled. Higashiyama is a member of Shounentai, one of the oldest groups in Johnny’s Entertainment, and is one of the hottest JE guys in my opinion. Higashiyama plays the brilliant but comical Dr. Goto, who takes on the challenge of analyzing patients with undiagnosed illnesses and determining their conditions. More »

Rumors have been circling Johnny’s resident bad boy Jin Akanishi ever since he announced solo concerts in LA. These concerts were sold out in 3 hours even though there were only 2300 seats — although I’m not sure if that is totally true, because one of my friends bought tickets two days after the fact. Tokyo Sports has been reporting that one of the reasons for these concerts is so that he can break into Hollywood. More »

From Ningin: KAT-TUN, one of Johnny’s groups, is back after the successful single, “RESCUE,” which was my favorite song of theirs. Now it is D-Motion. I have heard this song twice and already I am singing it. I really pleased with the music video and song because for once everyone is singing! Although the auto tune is a little much, this song is so addictive. I don’t think they will have any problems selling a bunch except for the fact that super group Arashi’s new single came out too, so Jin doesn’t have to worry about his STD scandal affecting sales.
